The Vornado Evap40 is another humidifier to consider if you’re working with a budget. It delivers a lot more value than it is sold for, and that’s always a great attribute for any product. The unit has an in-built humidistat that ensures that the fan runs until the surrounding air satisfies your desired level of humidity. When that happens, the unit will shut down and only restart when the humidity drops past that level.

More Value for Less Maintenance

The Evap40 operates super quietly- the most you’d get out of it is comfortable white noise. No rattles or weird gurgles. Because of the dual tanks, the unit humidifies any space faster than other humidifiers of its capacity. The big fan blades also help, as they pull massive volumes of hot, harsh air through the humidifying filters and then uses the signature vortex motion of Vornado to disperse the air throughout the room. For this reason, the filters get messy very quickly, so be prepared to change the filters many times if you get this humidifier. However, the filter wicks are very easy to get online and they don’t cost much.

No one likes products that require a lot of work to clean, and the Evap40 is perfect in that aspect also. All you need to get rid of the dirt build-up is soak your tanks with vinegar and then rinse. That process will take 30 minutes tops.
